ID please

Would anyone happen to recognise what these are sprouting everywhere. Thanks in advance.

    I think they are poppies.
    Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

  • They are all over my garden too. Definitely poppies, usually yellow or orange. I leave them until I decide whether or not they are going to fit in with my planting schemes, and 'oik' them out if they don't. Try not to let them go to seed - they are like the proverbial rabbits!

    Agree with Hostafan, pull the weeds out. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor. 

  • Almost certainly Meconopsis cambrica aka Welsh poppy.  If so, they will be as yorkshirerose describes.
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
