    Yes, that's a much better picture, thanks. Have you thought of putting up a really nice  diagonal trellis fence on the left hand boundary? I'm thinking if there's some soil underneath, you could try planting an evergreen clematis and training it along the trellis to give you a bit of greenery. Also you could try planting the ornamental cherry tree 'Amagowa' which grows straight up, not out, next door to the telegraph post maybe? Perhaps one the other side as well.
