Maybe we'll con back with both. We only have fruit tree's in the garden and I'd like some other tree's in the garden for shade and give some height in the garden. Depending on what's going on we might go tomorrow instead of next week.
I looked at where the trunk had split on the old tree and I think it had some for of disease so it wouldn't have lasted long. I think it's called canker and the split seemed to go through at that point.
Morning all, lovely and sunny here again. We went to the garden centre yesterday we found I think the above mentioned trees but they were small. I know they will grow but we need a tree about 5ft +. We found a flowering cherry with the lovely reddish bark which is what I wanted. I found some Astilbe, short growing Cannas but thinking about it we will be going back in a few week and buying the one mentioned Prunus-Incisa. After putting the tree in our small car we couldn't have got anything else in.
