Tulip flowering at the surface of the pot!

Hi everyone I’m new to the forum 👋
I’ve got a problem Tulip that is flowering at the surface of a pot on my balcony! I live in Sheffield and it’s an east-south-east facing apartment, so it gets plenty of sun.
i was just wondering why this had happened because I’ve never seen it happen before! Thanks

No not that I’m aware of. When I bought it from my local garden centre it was advertised as a triumph!
