The Last Frost in South West

    It has last week of April as last frost for both Derby and Nottingham. I would put it two weeks later than that.  I still don't plant out tender stuff until the last week of May.

    Our last frost is around the middle of March but this year its been very mild but wet the ground is warm 8° but claggy.

    I'd agree with fidget. These charts are only a rough guide - same as seed sowing instructions.
    You need to familiarise yourself with your local weather/temp /ground conditions, year on year. That's tricky if you've moved to a new area, but if in doubt, wait.
    Anything planted out too soon will just sit there doing nothing if the conditions aren't right.  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Apart from  perenials which will be in big pots, I don’t plant anything out until the end of May.

    It was a SOD  yesterday.........Shirts Off Day but woke up to cold and rain this morning. At least Sydney Sparrow did not wake me up at 5 23 am like he usually does
