Thanks to Nut managed to identify a couple of horrible weeds so I've been out and removed them.  I'm trying to revamp a shady area of the garden with pots so I'll be checking out plants on the internet for some of the day.  I've also planted some penstemon cuttings,  mind you if they are pink and not purple they might have to be moved again. Why doesn't some invent a way of keeping track of what colour your plants are?  Oh yes, they have, they are called plant labels!!!

Good idea, hope I fair as well when mine get planted . Horticultural fort knox here I come.🙂
  • I have planted out some beetroot seedlings, also trying some radish plugs for the first time - they are now safely in the soil. Other than that met a man who has now told us we have had too much field so chopping off a good metre or so.

Gardening is in full swing here in Dordogne, hardly time to post about it. New raised beds in veg garden have baby plants, weedkilled the drive, in the middle of weeding and cutting back in the oval bed.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

You and me both @Yviestevie - beautiful warm sunny day here and I feel rotten! Just managed to plant a small skimmia in my shade bed, move some primulas and dig in some of the bird feed mess under the bird feeder. Then I retired to bed, absolutely exhausted, been awake since 3 a.m.

Glad you liked the magnolia @Gardengirl.., it was the only really nice shrub here when we moved in 12 years ago.

No garden today due to other commitments including visit to solicitors to finalise our new wills and LPA's then pay the bill  :'(:'(

Then had to go and do some retail therapy in town and GC lunch out and a nice afternoon tea so a pleasant day all round.

Back to the grind stone tomorrow more seeds to sow stuff to transplant etc etc, I just love this time of year  :)

Busy day volunteering today had to resort to watering some areas as it's so dry. Watered all my pots & tubs when I got home with all these dull days it's easy to forget we have not had any rain for over 2 weeks again, and it's only March!
