I also make a list (which OH hates and no longer reads), of gardening jobs for the day.  It certainly is very satisfying at the end of the day to be able to cross off most things - agree it is mentally uplifting to make a list, knowing that all the little jobs are easily achievable within the day.  I have a list of more complicated jobs that will be done over a few days - a little done each day, like weeding driveway, pruning trees etc. Today I started to repot and/or titivate plants ready to take to a plant sale on the Bank Holiday. OH tidied up some of the circles already cut around the trees on the lawn and we dead headed a Montana clematis that has flowered beyond our expectations.

Managed to find the time to pot on 8 dahlias into final large pots, some of which were obtained  from MIL.That saved me having to find some from somewhere. She also gave me 2 peonies in pots that have been behind her greenhouse for goodness knows how long, but l am too cream crackered to sort them out today. So that's one job off the list, and another one added !

I only list major jobs ie repair steps to stream etc
I also get side tracked with other items but that the beauty of gardening , always something to do
Had a good few hours this morning in garden sorting things out 💐

Had a busy few days, mowed the lawn, watered and fed everything (well it felt like that!),- potted on some Echinacea, cucumbers, 2 types of squash and courgette and fitted a water butt. Hubby took the day off yesterday and we spent all day working on the retaining walls for the new veg garden/patio (keep changing my mind what it’s going to be lol!), we are almost there, another weekend should see most of it done. It’s been such hard graft, we’ve dug out 2 huge sleepers and long pieces of angle iron that had been buried etc, right where we needed to get posts in etc. Really pleased with it, after nearly 4 years of looking at a rubble pile!

Certainly looks like a lot of hard work @Flinster - rather you than me!

Same here both at home, on the Allotments and my volunteer day at Capel Manor it's beginning to feel a bit like Ground hog day - feeding and watering  everywhere!

Early morning went to allotment as usual opened up tunnel and watered, then this afternoon had second delivery of horse manure so now have two compost bins full 880 kg steaming gently, then general tasks with the hoe and strimmer.
Also lightly forked over the flower boarders and planted out some Echinaceas at long last I grew them form seed and they have been in 2 lt pots for the last two years so they will be happy to get there roots into some new ground.
