Don’t they still trap small birds in Malta ?
It was banned under EU law but the Maltese government allowed it to continue, then last year the European courts enforced the ban. It will continue illegally of course due to the corruption of Maltese police etc. The spring hunt of turtle doves still goes on of course with all the associated illegal activities.

Typical , UK always followed EU rules to the letter of laws , unlike the rest of Europe !

Speaking of such things; I love the Trump headlines this morning.

"Mr Mueller's report says: "While this report does not conclude that the president committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him."

Trump: "Complete and Total EXONERATION. KEEP AMERICA GREAT!"

We all know that people only read the bits to Trump that he want to hear.  First part is true, second part is fake news.

18th April this year would be pushing it with our surgery.  I know people locally who have been told to go the local walk-in surgery or to the hospital to get blood tests done more quickly than at their own surgery.

    Things I'm grumpy about today:

    Pet insurance.
Floodlights always pointing at my bedroom windows.
Amazon using stealth buttons to sign me up to Prime.
Fake plants and people trying to kill everything in their garden.
Coupons that expire the day before you remember to use them.

Add life policy to  pay for your funeral, I see they’ve stopped the funeral plans I think, the ombudsman was looking into the con of them.
