Basil bugs in soil?

I’ve got Basil outside which I planted myself from seeds (I live in a tropical country if that helps) Recently I lifted the pot and I saw tiny white bugs smaller than a pinhead fall out. I checked the leaves and top of the soil but I could not see anything else unusual. What should I do?
