Do these foxgloves need tidying up?

          Not to worry CraigB,..as yours were only planted last season the middle of the rosette has not really started to protrude from the middle,..however i would trip off the aged leaves on the outside,..as @Rubytoo and "@Guernsey Donkey2  has wrote,.. insects and slugs hide under there.

    Oh i have not sown Foxgloves for years,..those i have,..self seeded from the original plants down through the years,..just like @Purplerain,..as a result of self seeding,..mine also have started growing in pots on pathways and with rose bushes where i leave them until the weather improves at the end of Winter before moving them to a permanent spot.

    I didn't find my Mertonensis were very perennial... they gave up after a couple of flowerings. 
    Me too, they seemed to play at biennial here. But we have a lot of dry shade so ours may have given up. Still worth growing though :)
