Picture diaries

I take a lot of pics of the garden but haven’t been good add putting same-angle shots from each month together for a pictorial diary.

Has anybody here done that?  I would love to see, even one per season of something like that!

I don't keep a diary as such but do take lots of photos of my garden through the seasons.Interesting to see how things have developed over the years.
At the moment I have a thread showing the progress of my mini meadow lawn.
I try and take shots from the same 3 angles and then add a couple of detailed shots of anything interesting.

^nice little meadow coming along madpenquin, ..

I take photos almost every day of something or other and keep them in monthly folders..  here are 4 from last year, from Feb to June showing roughly the same shot of one area of garden.. for some reason I missed out March, maybe because of beast from the east ..
I think it's a fun thing to do.. and helps keep track of one's mistakes, of which there are always plenty I find..

    27th April..

19th May.. when the heat and drought started...

9th June....   bear in mind this is a rose garden... all's well that ends well..

I used to do that many years ago before photos were able to be loaded onto computer. At that time, I thought it was a bit mad, but nowadays, I notice quite a lot of people doing it. I literally took a photo of the same angles every 2-3 weeks throughout the summer time, and once a month into the late autumn into winter every year. It's nice to see how it progresses over the whole year. Be critical about mistakes and also marvel at happy accidents in the border.
  • I started taking photographs of blooms in the garden from every angle back in 2004 keeping every months blooms in a file,..then loading them into Microsoft Photo Story 3,..( its a free program ) they come out in a video form and can be uploaded to most Forums or Vimeo and YouTube,..its interesting to see how the garden plants appeared throughout the months and years.

That is a lovely garden @Marlorena
It always surprises me how much growth there can be in one season!
