Please can you recommend shrubs with bold colour flowers in summer time? Than kyou

    Hydrangeas, shrub roses, weigela, broom, and, if you can provide the right conditions, Hibiscus and Oleanders.

    Pieris Japonica species are beautiful in early spring with red, oranges, silver and pink coloured foliage and Lilly of the Valley type flowers. A must if you have acidic soil, if not then plant in a good sized pot with ericaceous compost

    Take a look at Abelia 'Edward Goucher', a good all-rounder shrub that stays more or less evergreen and a long flowering time. Good for semi shade spot.

    If you have free draining soil and a very sunny position, Caryopteris x Clandonensis will add late blue colour into autumn time. Easy to care, just prune down in early spring and new fresh growth returns.

    Buddleia - comes in different shades of purple and lilac, and there's also a yellow one.  Fuchsias for late summer and autumn, a huge variety of flower forms and colours.
