I had to assemble it, which took about 30 minutes. It looks good. It is very similar to this one. Will try out tomorrow weather permitting.
I came across this topic while searching for tiller buying guides. Which model did you acquire and would you recommend it? Right now I'm thinking between these models GardenTrax Mini and Earthwise TC70001.
The links don't work, for me at least. I haven't heard of the makes so I suspect they are US models. This is predominantly, but not entirely, a UK site so input on them may be limited.
Tillers and mechanical cultivators are generally smaller and lighter. They struggle on hard or heavy ground as the lack of weight means they tend to bounce off. They are also more strain on hands and forearms as they have to be held back to make them dig in & not just skim over the top. They are good for small beds and breaking up already turned soil. Large rotavators are heavy and less manoeuvrable and are better suited to bigger areas of ground, used properly they are actually less strain but many people end up fighting the machine instead of letting it do the work. On our Allotment site we have medium and large rotavators we can hire from the society. I have a mantis for my own use.

'tother way round generally. 'Domestic' tillers are comparatively lightweights whereas rotovators require muscles like Popeye to control them.
