You can buy a set of 3 by Geoff Hamilton - Cottage Garden, Ornamental Kitchen Garden and Paradise Gardens - they all show GH explaining what he's up to and why and then creating a new garden along those premises. Excellent for both edibles and ornamentals as well as design principles and how to lay paths and terraces and build obelisks, pergolas and arbours. Then there's sowing, pricking out, planting out, cuttings and divisions and so on.

That's true but if you want a start, middle and how to carry on the Geoff H's are very good and bear watching again and again.
The other thing I would suggest for practical gardening advice is the Beechgrove Garden when it starts again on BBC2, probably the beginning of April as it comes from Aberdeen and their season starts later.

Thanks obelixx I forgot to say I already have the geoff Hamilton dvd it's very good and just I have grow with Joe garden skills, I always watch beech Grove it's great. I thanks nutcutlet the trouble with YouTube is it can be hit and miss not all the episodes and have to keep looking for them, I do use it but not really for series .
I would have suggested Geoff H's DVD, but as you already have it, what sort of advice are you looking for on the next one ? Is it more planting, design, or maintenance of what you already have ? Is it more about flowers, shrubs or veg ?
The Victorian Garden series is both lovely to watch and very informative. Harry explains the reasons behind what he does rather than just give instructions, and the results are amazing I love to re-watch it every couple of years
