Postie in shorts alert

Yes really! Unfortunately he dashed off before I could get a camera out.
I know you will say pictures or it did not happen. I can't believe it either, probably why he was in a hurry :D  Or maybe he got dared considering the weather at the moment.

Not our regular postie though he does wear shorts until it gets really cold.

My brother-in-law is a postie, and although he will be wearing long trousers when it's very cold, at other times he prefers shorts.  He says when it rains long trousers get soaked and he gets very cold.  His legs are waterproof.

You are not alone Rubytoo, our postman, who is no Spring chicken, is walking around in shorts. Funny thing is, he has his head well covered and a thick scarf. I know most of the heat is lost through the head, but it seems mad to me. He delivered a parcel yesterday, it was "just" very cold. I said to him "You're well wrapped up", then he lifted up the box which had been hiding his legs, to reveal his knobbly knees.

@islander , l am in Glos, in the "soft south", although to listen to our local news, you'd think we were in downtown Chicago.

That is a good point KT53. Wet trousies are horribly cold and stick to your legs.

Although even on a dry day when it is cold out, these days they have to do bigger rounds quickly they must get quite warm too.

If yours was wearing a scarf @AnniD I wonder if he has sinus and/or ear troubles , people often wear a scarf and head wrapped because the cold affects those areas badly in cold weather.....knobbly knees I have those too :D .

@pansyface hmm might also explain it though I still think they are mad :D

Depending on which part of Glos AnniD, it could have been my b-i-l as he does have nobbly knees. :D He's also no spring chicken, but I don't think I've ever seen him with a scarf.  He's hard - originally from the Forest of Dean. :)

I wear shorts all year round unless its snowing or for social occasions.

I still cant believe that people say stuff without thinking like "Arnt you cold"

After about 3 years of these questions I told this lady that I had just been burgled and all my trousers had been taken. She told me how sorry she was.
