If you're a member of the RHS (or have a friend who is) you could send them a photo and see if they know what it is...

i've grown them for about 30 years and have never seen anything like it. Are you a member of RHS? if so, send them a photo and ask.

Other than the white patches, they look remarkably green for this time of year (mine all die back for the winter).  I wonder if it's one of the more tender evergreen types, in which case is it growing in a warm climate?  If so there could be pests and diseases that we don't get in the UK.

Some sap sucking bug, maybe mealy bug?

  • I a member of RHS so will send them a picture. But if anyone one there has any idea I would appreciate their comments.  As I said it’s spreading to my other agapanthus in pots and wanted any help before I dispose of them
  • It looks a little like leaf miner damage but I'm not aware of any which affect agapanthus.
