Roseroot

I have had this plant in my garden(s)  for many years now without, until recently, being able to determine it's name.    Does anybody else have it in their garden? and can any one tell me more about it please?    I understand that it has medicinal properties.

Hello Virginia Joy. Its Latin name is Rhodiola rosea and according to good old Google it belongs to the Stonecrop/Crassulaceae family and does have medicinal values. Known as the ginseng of the North apparently.
