Cover for manured areas?

I am a no dig practitioner on my allotment.. Also I prefer not to leave bare soil in winter. I use green manures phacelia and field beans with some benefit. But I have some areas where I have put a good layer of manure. But it is bare. Should I cover that with black plastic or porous fibre mat? 
Advice appreciated

    Black plastic will help to warm the soil up and keep weeds out. It would obviously need to be pegged or bricked down really securely.

    I’d leave it. The layer of manure will protect the soil and plastic would prevent rainwater penetrating the ground.
