Distance between Bird Nesting Boxes.

Does anyone know what sort of distance should be between nest boxes for different bird species?
I have a wren ball in the corner of the garden and a Robin nester about 15ft apart and the only place I can but the open fronted (Blackbird) nester is between the two.
Should I just put it up anyway and see if anything turns up?

I think I would just risk it myself. I have a great tit nest box attached to some trellis near my back door. The great tits use it annually and last year a blackbird built a nest on top of the box. Neither 'family' seemed to mind the presence of the other. The wrens built a nest in my shed.

    I will risk it then!
If even one of the nesters is used I will be pleased!

The usual guidance says don't place nest boxes of the same type close together so you should be ok if they're all different. I don't think there's any real rules though as birds will do what they want and some nest in the oddest places.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

They are all different types so the birds can sort themselves out!
