I’m sorry the photo is too blurry to decipher.
Is it possible to get a clearer one?
Are you (and the caterpillar) in the UK?  What sort of plant is it on?

  • No sorry, that was the only one I got. The caterpillar was dark  green with the very dark stripe down both sides. I  did not find them (yes there were about 30) on plants they were on the back of the house. I have never had this before as anything like that is usually on plants. I grow a lot of bromeliads and caterpillas love them (usually). I am in Australia, in Far North Queensland... the tropics.

Ah ... most of us are UK and Europe based. I’ll flag this up to @Pat E who is in Australia and very knowledgeable ... perhaps she’ll have a suggestion.

Hello Mavissharples, I’m in the Snowy Mountain region of NSW, but I lived in Darwin for 13 years until Cyclone Tracy, so have a bit of knowledge of gardening in the warmer regions.😏
i wasn’t able to identify your caterpillar from your photo, but the closest I found on line was the Cesar Australia ones.

It would be helpful to know which plants it likes to live on and what the emerging butterflies look like.
