Hydrated Lime on Lawns - Moss

From tests I've done showing my Clay soil is acid and maybe one of the causes of excess moss even the lawns are on a slope and browned badly in the drought of last year.

Have read that liming raising the Ph could help against the moss.

Could I use Hydrated Lime and what amount per Sq/mtr using a spreader, knowing its more caustic than standard lime.

Well, I garden on alkaline clay and have shed loads of moss, so the lime may not make much difference. I believe drainage and light are more important, together with good care. Do you aerate, dress and feed your lawn?

The lawns are sloping to the west, see the sun morning to dusk, had two feeds of 'Chicken pellets' (spring/autumn) also 'Blood Fish and Bone'.
But as said it totally browned/killed off and soil was basically bare from the hot dry summer till Oct then weeds took over and moss started. The one lawn nearest the house was aerated along with Chicken pellets etc and managed to recover fully apart from moss spreading. Although its clay its not boggy.

Using Lime I read that lawns like a PH of 7ish and helps to defend itself against moss etc. ??
