Opening windows and indoor plants!

Hi,
I have tried to look for an answer to my question everywhere but I could not find it.
I have quite a few indoor plants stacked on my windowsill as my window is quite big. I also have a few tropical plants like a couple of musas, couple of strelitzia, some calatheas (a bit more hidden though) and others like a fern, some cacti etc.
My boyfriend keeps on pressuring me on opening my window whilst I feel like my plants would suffer from it, especially now that it is winter, so I'd rather open the door of my room and open a window somewhere else... Although he argues the windows are too far to change the air in my room
So my question is would opening the window in this weather affect my plants? I'm sure they'd benefit from air circulation and fresh oxygen... so I do that when it's warmer... But what about when it's this cold outside?
