They need a good drink at the time of planting as this settles both soil and moisture round their roots and that should be fine until buds start to break in a few weeks time. They will then need watering again during spring if there's a dry spell and thru summer. Once a week should be fine and one big watering can each. If the foliage starts to look droopy in summer, water again.
Too much water can be as bad as not enough.
