Identify shrubs

Hello,
We've just moved house and inherited a number of shrubs that we cannot identify. Would anyone here be able to help?

  • You look to have some nice shrubs there, can't ID all of them but will help where I can!
Pic1 - the grey one might be a Hebe, can't see the leaves large enough to be sure. The yellowy one behind is Euonymus, probably 'Emerald and Gold'.
Pic2 is a dwarf conifer, podssibly Juniperus 'Blue Star' or similar. Not at all sure about the next pic, but wondering if it could possibly be a dwarf Pine?
Pic4 is Aucuba japonica (aka spotted laurel, though it isn't one!), followed by Photinia, maybe 'Red Robin', but not one I grow.
Don't know the spiny one, but Pic7 is Choisya ternata, Mexican orange blossom.
    8 & 9 I think are both Hebes.
10, with the white flowers is a winter flowering heather (Erica) with another Euonymus growing through it - the variegated leaves. Maybe E. 'Emerald Gaiety'.
Next is Sage, then don't know the next two, but the grey leaved one that follows looks like Eucalyptus, then another Hebe(?).
Final two are shrubby honeysuckle, Lonicera pileata and dogwood, Cornus sanguinea.
Hope this helps a bit, happy hunting!

I think it would be easier if you posted them in batches of no more than about 4 and put a number beside each one. Too many to scroll up and down counting as you go.

I will try my best, but I suggest you separate some photos onto another post. 17 photos will be very hard to load.

    1 - Hebe - Maybe Albicans
    2 - ?
    3 - ?
    4 - Acuba Japonica
    5 - Photinia Fraseri
    6 - ?
    7 - Choysia Ternata
    8 - Hebe
    9 - Hebe
    10 - Erica Carnea
    11 - Salvia Officinalis
    12 - Stranvaesia Davidiana
    13 - Euonymus Japonicus
    14 - Eucalyptus Gunnii
    15 - Buxus Sempervirens
    16 - Lonicera Nitida 'Blaggesen's Gold'
    17 - Could be a Dogwood

  • Ooh..too many in one thread...not numbered...not easy to keep track.
    2. Need clear close up.

    3. Looks like Picea glauca var Albertina conica.

Pic 3 is a dying Picea glauca var.albertiana Conica , or a dwarf form of Alberta Spruce.
As a result of the horrible dry and hot summer it is losing its needles , and it will NOT green up again !
They need tremendous amounts of water for good health .
Apologies for being the bearer of bad-tidings . :(

I can only see four photos.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
