It’s been the sort of day where working hard in the garden is ok but not very pleasant for sitting about with a coffee.
My garden and I live in South Wales.
  • It was bright when I got up this morning, but sitting here on the sofa, with my back to the window, I'm suddenly aware that the rain is coming down heavily (another one for words that push people's buttons - after all, when does it rain upwards!!?  o:))

Rain stopped play here. Actually it’s hail at the moment with thunder forecast.

Good steady rain that looks as if it's set in until tea time. Fortunately I got the grass cut and some other bits and pieces outside done yesterday afternoon.

Lots of rain overnight and very windy and showery today so all I've done is water my seedlings and other treasures still sheltering in the polytunnel.  If the forecast doesn't change it should be safe to bring out the citrus and fuchsias on Thursday.

    Fingers crossed.

Did some more pricking out and sowing yesterday so today I can sew with a clear conscience and maybe do a manicure later.   .Nails do take beating when gardening wthout gloves.

Cool and breezy today, but no rain (the forecast said showers this afternoon but nothing doing).
