The weather has warmed up quite a bit. So tempting to rush out and start work in the garden but there is still time for some nasty cold snaps to happen. I am hoping to make a start on cleaning down the inside of my greenhouse this week. Then I can move my sweetpea and onion seedlings out of the conservatory, which is not heated but is double-glazed. Overcast and grey today but dry and a bit warmer thank goodness.
Just been out doing a bit of cutting back. The ground feels very dry for winter, and I'm getting worried about the lack of rain so far this year (in a "here we go again" kind of way). January 26mm, February none so far and no significant probability in the forecast (although that could change).

We're finally above freezing (mid to high 30s) and the abundant sunshine is melting a lot of the ice, and settling the snow. There's still probably a foot of snow left on the ground, so nothing going on outside just yet. It's nice to not have to wear ice cleats every time you go outside, though.

After a dull start this morning, it has brightened up beautifully here this afternoon, so I wrapped up and went out for a walk to admire all the spring flowers beginning to burst forth and listen to the birds singing. It was really lovely 😁.
Took the dog for his constitutional this morning and the wind was freezing cold. The sun came out after lunch and the temperature improved thank goodness.
