Hot and windy here in Paris region, not a good combination at all. (But a full load of washing did dry in just over 10 minutes this morning!)
Marne la vallée, basically just outside Paris 🇫🇷, but definitely Scottish at heart.

31.6 at the moment. Has been up in the high twenties for a couple of weeks now.
  • 29c in south Lancs. Not bad at night to be honest.
I can't say I'm overly worried about a week of hot weather..I'm more worried about paying for the energy it's going to take to keep my house even moderately warm during the 3 months of winter.

I cant sleep at night over 15c, but we treated ourselves to a proper air con unit and an air cooler. Before that, I would sleep in the conservatory with the doors open
  • 31C today, 34C tomorrow. This time we have all day sunshine and no clouds in the afternoon which took off most of the effects on the plants in July.
The echinacea flowers start to burn. It’s 11 of August and what normally last until end of September is now going to die in the sunshine.

    I my garden.

I must say the August supermoon is looking pretty spectacular though. One benefit of the clear skies.
  • The night skies down here in Cornwall have been spectacular. Wall to wall stars and a glorious moon. Wonderful.

I can’t believe how our weather is going to change next week, 20° through the day 9 -10° at nights.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

  • So far, the North East of Wiltshire has had some rain, still enough sunshine and a few days with clouds. Temperature was average but as soon as the sun was out, it got warmer. We had 1 night with 2 degrees Celsius. All other nights between 6 and 14 degrees Celsius. Over the day, we had between 15 and 19 degrees Celsius.

    I my garden.

According to my little weather station, the temperature outside is -10.1c which l can well believe. Can't remember the last time it was this low, if ever.
The road outside looks like an ice rink.
