Frost yesterday not today, still cold, nice to be in the garden with my friendly Robin, removed the roots of runner beans, and stalks of sprouts onto the compost heap, Robin enjoyed the disturbed soil.
  • A dull, windy day here, did some outdoor work this morning, light rain this afternoon.  The wind is cold.

Sunny and light wind but cold.
  • Nothing bright about the weather here today.  It was a dull, cold, windy start and by 10.30 a.m. heavy rain which has just got worse throughout the day so far,

10ºC today and rain forecast today and tomorrow.  Dropping to 0º by Thursday night (Halloween).  I've brought all my sensitive plants inside to the indoor and semi-outdoor atriums.  Have to admit it's a very pleasant respite from the scorching temps we had as recently as the beginning of October.  Rain and freezing temps on Halloween doesn't bode well for seeing many Trick-or-Treaters this year.  Gld my husband picked out five-away candy WE like this year, as it looks like most of it will not be given away if my ghostly visitors prediction comes true.

I'm pleased I got my tulips planted yesterday as today it's dreary and chilly. I think we've got rain forecasted for later in the week.
We no longer get any sweeties/candy in  for Halloween @PeggyTX, the children fortunately do not like our uphill, long and dark drive!
