Dry this morning,  then very heavy showers this afternoon with a couple of rumbles of thunder. 12mm this afternoon, bird baths are full again ! It has turned rather chilly tonight. 7 degrees at 9pm. Glos.

Cold really for the time of year tho I did strip down to a sleeveless top whilst out planting strawberries this pm (kept my trousers, socks and wellies tho!) during a brief sunny spell with a short lull in the wind.

Thing is, we have OH's brother, sister and sister-in-law staying for a week.  They arrived on May Day which is a holiday here and are leaving on VE Day which is another holiday and in between is their own UK May Day Monday so the weather is bound to be crap, isn't it?

Just about the same here Hampshire_Hog, virtually no wind, no rain and clear blue skies overhead although a constant cloud formation in the S/W, with rain forecast for later.

Was only 3.4c at 5.30 am (woke up early!) but warmed up to about 14c by lunchtime.
Quite breezy and a bit chilly in the shade and it now looks like rain is on the way.

Water butts filling up nicely due to all the rain, looking like more on the way heavy black sky. Chilly out so put the heating on.

It's reached the dizzy heights of 7C this afternoon.  Stopped raining, though - water butt nicely filled.   :)

About the same here except all we’ve had is drizzle so the water butts are still very low 😢

Better than expected here. No sign of any frost, temperature of 5 degrees at 7.30am. Sun trying to break through. Glos.
