Collected compost liquid.

An indoor beehive composter was lined with plastic and the resulting mix is almost ready for next year.  I syphon the liquid daily from the bottom into bottles.  Although smelling putrid what now comes out is odorless.  Is all of the collected liquid good to add as tomato feed next year, smelly or not?

Yes. Just dilute it immediately before use so it is the colour of weak tea. About a cupful to a 2 gallon  watering can of water.
  • What happens if it's added as it is?

You’ll scorch the roots of your plants and probably kill them  :'(

  • There's 6 litres so far so that's about 30 watering cans?  Who's good at maths?
  • Another interesting (or not) fact is that sieved compost breaks down producing liquid at 0.05% a day in the winter months.
  • Thank you Fidgetbones and Dovefromabove.
