I have just read through all this thread. People were trying to be helpful and answer the question. The original poster hardly acknowledged them to start with. Then there was a bit of lighthearted humour. What is wrong with that? I can't see anything to make anyone go off in a huff. In fact that was probably hurtful to the people who had tried to help.

Anyway, my answer would have been a young slow worm, they aren't at all slow.

The opening posters profile says they joined on 31st of May.
I cannot say that necessarily means anything. Whether shy or for any other reasons they did not post before.
I cannot imagine joining a forum that many months ago and not reading it or getting at least an idea of how people post, characters etc.

If they were completely new coming in off a search engine I could understand possibly feeling unwelcome or hesitant.

I lurked for ages before joining and managed to get the gist.  And I am not the sharpest pin in the cushion. Though I was not desperate for help, just looking for a like minded bunch for winter entertainment. Oh dear that sounds so wrong :D

Busy Lizzies post sums it up for me really.

Doesn't sound wrong Rubytoo, I don't suppose you are the bluntest pin either!
