Monster plant saving

I have an awesome monster plant that just bent over a couple weeks ago. Suspect it got top heavy. Want to replant it thus my question is where to cut (do I include the stringy roots) it is an extremely healthy plant and is shooting new leaves close to the ground before the bend. Advise, please! I live in Cape Town, South Africa

Is it planted in the ground, or potted?
A photo would help too if you can manage it. The little icon that looks like a mountain is the one to click on for uploading a photo.
If it's forming new leaves there's a good chance you can resurrect it
Most of the members here are UK based, with a few more dotted around the globe, but I'm sure someone will be able to help

A photo would help but, if the stems aren't broken, I would just erect a suitable support system to emulate its natural surroundings in which it uses its aerial roots to climb. If that's not a possibility, you'll need patience to layer the top half to make a new root system and only then cut off the top part and re-plant.
Then come back on this thread and click on the little photo icon - rectangle with mountains and sun - to load your picture.

I hope you get somewhere with it - can you grow them outdoors all year round where you live?
