    Well, given that it’s treated as a condiment his wife probably regards it as a table sauce.  :). Just a little translation oddity maybe!

    I would.. as I don't live in the UK anymore so I understand perfectly! I have a bottle in the cupboard, it's reserved for chips.

    I don’t like vinegar on chips either and I wouldn’t like a bottle for a Christmas present 😀
