I've got one growing outside which is definitely rampant. Has covered 6 foot by 48 feet of fence in under 3 years and in the summer the tendrils reach out and snag the Buddliea and the roses. It's now winding up through my neighbours Black Elder tree. Thanks for the pruning advice it's definitely down for taming early next year.
I'm sorry to be a pain everyone but just a thought: (In its 2nd year) if this Constance Elliot really spreads further won't it restrict the light which should be reaching the tomato leaves?
I think that's something you'll have to judge OC and try and keep its searching tendrils away from your toms. According to this RHS article it can get to about 30ft x 12ft, but it does give pruning instructions too. The article also indicates that it's hardy to -10c, so should be fine outside in most of the UK - it may be better outside, then you could grow even more toms in your lovely greenhouse

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
mmm...Perhaps I'll tie it to grow along and underneath the shelves under the windows then. Last summer a new flower popped out each day so I'd cut it and float it in a water bowl on the kitchen table - so romantic.

You old smoothie.... Or you could just buy another greenhouse
Is the greenhouse big enough to train it along one side, and have the toms down the other? Depends how many toms you want
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I don't want to block off anywhere as the sun moves hourly and monthly. Last year I grew one of each of 32 varieties, I'm sticking to small sweet cherries next year, the black ones were best. I let the Supersweet 100 go wherever it wanted and it produced 27 trusses (that's over 600 toms). The remaining types were 'sideshooted' and topped off at about 6 trusses, results varied.
Given the shelter of your stunning greenhouse, it'll grow like there's no tomorrow. It's a beast of a thing once it gets going. I've spent 7 years trying to kill one and it still appears every spring.
Sad face.
I love Passion Flowers and in particular their vigorous growth, leaf shape and spectacular flowers.
I'm actively encouraging them to grow as vigorously as possible in my garden!
