Stormy last night, getting a cough, and drunk people out at 4:44AM means I am exhausted.

Good to hear the cats are good and tough M-U.
Chey - that is incredible! People out partying in that grim weather until daybreak. After what you said about your iced up windows I'm not surprised that you are getting a cough. Get some hot food down yourself, or plenty of hot drinks if you are not feeling up to eating.

I'm venturing out for cough syrup but have promised myself toasties when I get back!

Thing is, LB, I don't even think there's any pubs open that late and this is a regular occurrence...

Sounds very much like there's regular 'lock-ins' somewhere near to you. I can recommend the cough mixture named after a yellow wild flower but there are loads of good ones. I like that one because it tastes nice.

My village is now in place on the hearth and lit up. It feels to have gone dark quite quickly today.

Jobs done for today🙂 OH is cooking tonight and I'm about to light the fire and make a cuppa. Am enjoying Baroness Trumpington's autobiography at the moment - she was a game old girl - so will probably continue reading that.

Has the river level gone down yet MU - your weather was definitely wilder than down here - it was just yuck here but not particularly damaging. Sounds like they had quite a bit of snow in the Glenshee area - Guess it's one of the first places to be hit.

Keep warm tonight everyone. Hot soup for you Chey - auntie's orders.

@star gaze lily - I've sent you a recipe by PM (just in case the email notifications aren't working)

MU youve had a really wild night I'm glad the outdoorsers are okay after last night's experiences, poor things.  I've started doing some walking indoors as struggle on inclines and distance which overtime might make me fitter anyway in the right direction.  Just had a warming cup of tea and settled in for the evening after watching a year in the wild.
