Small Red Worm ID?

Might anybody know what this is? It's a small red worm that was near one of my potted plants in my office at work, and it has me a little uneasy. It moved really quickly by extending and contracting its body. The coin is an American quarter for scale--about 1" in diameter.

Thank you.

  • Thanks for that.

(Although, if you search for "small red worm", you find some pretty awful pages on horse parasites. I'm assuming that that's *not* what you're talking about?)
  • No not unless you have a horse in your office. Few parasites can live without their host.
    Nothing to worry about.  :)
