Dig in mustard (green manure) now or later?

I set mustard seeds in September and they have started to flower.

Should I dig it in now or can I wait until Spring? I'd rather have the ground covered until Spring but will dig it in if that's more beneficial.

The RHS advises that green manures should be dug in in spring so that they hold the soil together over winter - https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?PID=373

The Belgian farmers with arable fields around our last home would plant mustard immediately after harvesting their winter wheat or barley in July/August and then plough it in just before sowing sugar beet or chicory or planting potatoes or sweetcorn the following spring.

Totally agree with Obelixx the field next to me had barley this year and is right now covered in white mustard in flower. it'll be ploughed under when they want to sow again in the spring.
