I had mine on a very bright windowsill this summer and it definitely sulked! Went rather discoloured. Recovered well once I moved it to an east-facing, rather than south, windowsill, happy now. So avoid very bright, direct sunlight.
I suspect you don't need to worry about repotting too much just yet, I think they're quite happy a bit crowded.
Very gritty, sandy soil. I only water when it's dried out at least a couple of cm depth (stick a finger in the soil in to check). Make sure it's properly drained after watering, no water in the bottom of the outer pot/dish. Shouldn't need much watering going into winter now.
I put a layer of gravel on the surface. Helps keep the base dry, which apparently is vulnerable to rot. Also looks nicer!
Stick the baby in gritty compost and it should grow. Best to put in dry compost first, water after it's settled in after a week or so.
