I have always found it difficult to root pelargoniums. I think the trouble for me was when I read on the internet how easy they were. I could root penstemons etc, but felt I was rubbish because pelargoniums just died on me. I even dipped them in Vitamin C but no luck.
Anyway, I was determined not to lose my plants this year, and although I dislike switching on the heat, I would agree with @cornelly as my cuttings are alive and will hopefully survive.

Thanks for your interesting comment .
Even though I know my plants , I've always worked with shrubs , trees , perennials and alpines etc.
How on earth can I be daunted by the prospect of attempting to propagate Pelargoniums ?
My confidence seems to be waning with age I think ! :'(

Me too! Good luck though. I could probably buy new ones for the cost of electricity ☹️.
