Some offers are too good to miss, others.....

I've just had a renewal notice for my Norton Antivirus software.  Big headline "Thank you for your loyalty" and a special renewal price of only £69.99.  Only problem is, if I don't renew the subscription I can buy on-line, from Norton, for £24.99.
I'm still struggling with the decision of which way to do it. :D

Get a Mac. No anti virus gear needed.

Or McAfee.  Works for my PC and covers other devices too - if I had any that needed it.  No fancy mobiles/iPads/tablets here.

Fire, I think you are wrong there. Macs need anti virus especially now they tend to run microsoft software.  I say that as a dedicated Mac user for the last 25 years. (four desktops, and three laptops.)

The price of Norton AV covers up to 5 devices so is actually pretty good value as long as you know how to buy it.  Even paying full price would be a lot cheaper than buying a Mac. :D

There are free ones available too if you know where to look, depending on your needs.

It's not surprising that 'not being rewarded for loyalty' extends to everything nowadays, as most people have discovered - house/car insurance etc.

The sheer brass neck of these companies is breathtaking. Like the fabulous broadband deal BT are trying to sell me - pay them an extra £2 a month for exactly the same connection as I have now and lock myself into an 18 month contract too.

I am being offered fast Broadband at no extra cost when they wanted £9,99 to deliver a new router I said I was looking at other companies they waived that charge too. You have to haggle!
