Can anybody ID this?  I’d never noticed this until recently when I saw new flowers forming all over the woody seems, it’s out on a grass verge by the pavement here and is the size of a small tree now.

  • Hopefully my image upload worked this time!
  • Waiting for a photo to appear ... but at a guess I’d say have a Google at Viburnum Bodnantense

Yes ... the photo arrived and I’d guessed right ... Viburnum Bodnantense ... possible the variety named ‘Dawn’.
We have V Bodnantense ‘Charles Lamont’  :)

Mine has been flowering for weeks and weeks at the moment. Perfume is lovely.

James, in Spring, I would cut out some of the thickest stems, right down to the ground. That gives them a better air flow around the stems.  I see a lot around here that get lollipped into a neat round bush, but it stops them flowering well.

Mine has been a full flower, and full leaf, for the past few weeks. I'm wondering whether it'll lose its leaves and grow them again in spring, or what? It looks good, but I'm reliant on it being leafless in winter so the daffodils get some light...

Thanks but it’s not mine.  It’s in the street - I just wondered what it was!
