Canna in dark garage or attic, okay?

Will be lifting my canna this weekend. Is it okay to leave the canna in the attic / an  unheated garage with no windows with occasionally checking for moisture? If absolutely need be I can move it to the coservatory but it’s quite large filling an 1.5m border so will life will be a bit uncomfortable indoors...

    We kept ours in its pot in the dark frostfreegarage last winter ... just left it alone and it was fine. Flowered really well this summer  B)

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Great! Many thanks @Dovefromabove. Will do the same.  The weather is lovely At the moment and supposed to turn cold next week. So off to lift it out now. Cheers
