  I'd go for it KOG, but it depends on your conditions. If you get some decent, regular rainfall at this time of year, where you are, I can't see it being an issue. If they're big, it takes a bit more care, but smaller ones woud probably be fine now. I could easily move shrubs which aren't yet dormant, earlier in the year than this, but that's because of the climate here. 
  
  I think, going by what I've seen of your garden, you have enough knowledge to make the judgement

  Thanks Fairygirl.  Two are fairly small, the third about 6 feet.  If we leave any later, there's the risk of hard, frozen ground.  We will go ahead and at least start trying to move some today.  They are currently getting too much sun scorch in Summer, so we're moving them to a shadier place, where they will be much happier.  Final job to do in the garden before Winter.
