Plant ID

I planted this (I think perennial) in my garden at least 3 years ago and have since forgotten what it is. I also can't remember it flowering this year. It's small (5-10cm tall) and is about 40cm across.

I've tried to match it online and failed. Does anyone know what it could be?

TIA
   Adrian

My first thought was pasque flower, but l am not sure.
  • My first thought was Geranium dissectum ... but that's an annual .......

The leaves look like monkshood (Aconitum napellus) but that has tall flower spikes so it's probably not that.

Geranium sanguineum has cut leaves like that.
  • Thanks everyone for the quick replies. I've googled the suggestions and I think it's likely to be Geranium sanguineum (thanks @fidgetbones).

I'll cut it back a little in the spring and see if that encourages it next year.
