  Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) I reckon.

  And then there were none.  Oh dear.  Though it did look rather lonely by itself.  Probably will be replaced with a double door garage.  Progress.

  Welcome to the forums.
  Maybe sad..... however it had grown very large for a tiny front garden, so was maybe considered unsafe.
  
  Doesn't look right for Pinus sylvestris which has always got a fab orange colour to the bark.
  Cones not right either.
  Scots pine is a 2 needle pine.
  
  Sorry I am not confident enough with other conifers to offer any further help.

  Looking at the cone , number of needles (3-5) , resinous shoot and general manner of growth I would opt for Pinus radiata (Monterey Pine) .

  Fairly widely planted , generally in the milder parts of the UK , but this is not always the case .

  Pinus radiata.

  3 needle pine.

  Cones are obliquely egg shaped.

  Maybe try the Maritime Pine (Pinus pinaster) !

  
  

  Interested in this ID myself ; am using the late Alan Mitchell's 'Pine Identifier' in 'A Field Guide to the Trees of Britain & N.Europe' .(Includes exotics too) .
  

  An excellent read is this ; if I had one-quarter of his knowledge on trees I'd class myself as very fortunate !!
