My last 3 flu jabs were given by a pharmacist. I think they get about a tenner for each one they do.

I have heard there is an issue as doctors want more money per jab from the government and some surgeries are refusing to give the flu jab until they get what they want.
We are not sure if our pharmacy will offer the injection as our consulting room is being used for patient access while doctors doors are closed.
All a bit of a kerfuffle!

One can't help thinking that the members of the current government, possibly have all been handpicked by the unelected Dom for their... sparkling abilities, in order to achieve his long planned-for scheme.  Perhaps some people thought otherwise...

According to respected sources, the current PM is much too lazy to bother governing.  It has been said many times before that all the latter cares about is the title and the "glory" that title bestows.

Re. the"changes": I have a chronic condition, so I've been receiving flu jabs since my 50s.  I have always been given them by the surgery nurses.  Furthermore, I've not heard anything about GPs wanting to be paid more than pharmacists.  However, several years ago, it was well known, I think, that the latter were paid about twice as much per jab as the GPs.

Who is using whom? Or is it a symbiotic relationship?
Dom seems to hate the State's structures:
    the Civil Service
    the Judiciary
    Education
    the NHS

He started with the sacking of the senior, respected, experienced "whole Nation Tories", who would not accept the lies of the brextremists, and hasn't stopped since.

For the failures of this government, Civil Servants have been sacked from:

    Home Office
    Foreign Office
    Education - Head of Ofqual
    AND the Cabinet Secretary

The current pm, Trump-like, blatantly accuses others for his government's failures.  There is no subtlety about the matter.  No doubt that pleases brextremists.
Rather worrying and truly cringe making.

  • Hopefully, she won't wear a chroma key colour again!

The weather has become distinctly autumnal recently, so my sister and I decided to do a bit of squirreling today.

She, and her OH, arrived shortly after breakfast.  Whilst the chaps were discussing wines and beers, we took a look around the garden and were rather astonished at the damage slugs and snails'd done to almost everyone of my potted plants!  So, we decided to eliminate these enemies, plenty of which were still around the pots.

Like Phaidra's neighbours, we "stomped" on them!  I was rather surprised that I didn't feel as repelled by my actions of murder as I'd imagined that I would.  I suppose the rather extensive damage to my plants, made me feel they were not deserving of pity.

After recovering from the hard "stomping", we picked plums, apples and pears and made enough vases of jam and chutney to supply an entire village!

Very tired now, almost time for bed.  😴
