  My last check-up cost me £70.  There are no NHS dentists near us.

  They do try to make it worth your while though -seeing if your jaw works and the like.

  In London. Keen but lazy.

  I have a very nasty feeling that a very similar result would be very possible in Britain too, if the question was posed in the same way.  I try not to underestimate people's ignorance.
