Well, I was a parent governor for a few years at two different schools and saw with my own eyes the disruption such "fault searching" inspections create.  At one school, the most high achieving teacher was "failed" because he would stop "low level" chatter in class when the children were working "on their own" and not in pairs or groups.  It was later revealed that the inspector was being treated for some mental illness at the time and was subsequently "indefinitely suspended".

No inspections better?  No, but I think improvements need to be made urgently; we can't afford to lose any more teachers.

  • Interestingly, public schools are not ofsted inspected.

Beautiful photographs, Zoe!  Thank you for sharing.  Is (are) your friend(s) professional photographer(s)?

No, they're not, Phaidra.  One of them though is a very keen amateur photographer.

I'm very glad you like the photos.  :)
