Yet, I don't remember expressions of such admiration from the EU when this baker's kindness first became public!

Neither do I, Danae, but the EU knows WHEN to... value its citizens...! ;):(

I've got to admit that I had never heard of this exceptional man before - I think our media would rather keep such "enablers" hidden - but, thanks to Danae's post, I now do.  I researched him a little.  What an angel!

Where are now those wild celebrations and the screaming taunts: "we've won, get over it" and worse.  It's depressing but not unexpected.

I've not heard the jubilant cries lately either but none of these disasters has anything to do with Brexit...

    THE QUEEN OF BRITAIN:MEG MARKLE

Her American STAR-friends pay homage but don't quite prostrate themselves in front of their majesty's image!
American media tried calling her princess Meghan; then they found out she isn't.  Then they referred to her and prince Harry as "the duchess of Sussex and her husband".  But that didn't quite make clear her Americanness, so they came up with a new title: duchess Meghan.
After all, the Queen is Queen Elizabeth, so why should Meghan not be duchess Meghan!
Ignorance is one thing, provoking stupidity is another.
I sometimes think she is singularly unlucky in her American supporters but then I read about leaked letters to her father, etc, and think differently....

I saw that too and I'd rather not say what I thought!
When my father  in law (a Historian) first saw MM, on the day Harry announced their engagement, his reaction was, "I think she may be trouble."
He didn't quite like the way she took charge of the conversation, obviously not realising the press was interested in the event because Harry is a prince of the UK, not because she was an actress in some Canadian (??) TV serial!
I do hope she soon gets a better idea of her role as a member of our royal family!
