Just heard on the news that British shops in the EU have no custard creams or baked beans; lots of bare shelves. Nothing to do with Brexit, of course; just the fault of the EU...
So terrible! I can't
imagine how distraught those who ARE IN THE THICK OF IT actually feel. To
know your country has lost so many people, and is in fact at the top of that
awful table, despite your desperate efforts to save them, must be soul
destroying. No wonder our medics are crying and want answers from the
current government.
Of course, the USA has a higher
number of deaths but its population is 332,915,073; ours is only 68,207,116
and, thus, we, most depressingly, "beat" them hands down.
Let's hope this senseless loss of
life stops now that vaccination is available, so our NHS staff and the rest of
us can return to some equilibrium of body, mind and soul.
How right you are, Sam. It is a desperate situation and those reporting facts are often economical with truths or report them in a wilfully convoluted manner so as not to upset certain beings in power. It would seem that the spirit of the "career psychopath" still resides in that seat of power, terrorising some of our admirable- though possibly not perfect- institutions.
The courage of this clinician is more than just admirable.
In reality NOBODY knows the complete facts, it’s what you are led to believe, I honestly believe there is a mountain of information we are not aware of yet but unfortunately our country is led by a complete buffoon of a man and a shambolic team of ministers which most compete as lapdogs, believe in what you may but i’am not convinced one bit regarding the current government and the decisions or lack of them. I can imagine next we will be asked to take to BOTH knee’s and clap our buttock cheeks every Friday night which may aid in reducing infection rates. The NHS are doing a fantastic job but the government still fail to support them as they should.
